Cardiff 2022 International Scholarship

Introduction

Cardiff 2022 International  Scholarship for international students is open, so interested Applicants are encouraged to apply. This scholarship is jointly funded by Cardiff University, British Council and UK Government’s GREAT Britain campaign.

Cardiff University GREAT scholarship is open to only students from Brunei, China, Mexico and Thailand. Students who will enroll onto a one-year postgraduate program in the 2022/23 academic year are invited to apply for this scholarship. Successful Applicants can benefit up to  £10,000 towards tuition fees.

How To Apply For Cardiff 2022 International Scholarship

In order to apply, interested Applicants or Students should fill the following forms according to Countries:

Brunei should fill this Form

China should fill this Form

Mexico should fill this Form

Thailand should fill this Form

Also, Applicants will be required to answer the following questions as part of the application process. The answers should be a  maximum of 200 words each per question:

• What are your reasons for wanting to study at Cardiff University, on your chosen program of study?
• Describe a significant achievement in your student life or in your working career to date, and explain the impact it had on other people or the organization.
• How would you help spread the word about Cardiff University as a study destination?
• Describe your career objectives beyond the course you have applied to, indicating the type of role you would like to occupy in five years’ time and how the course you are interested in studying can help you in achieving these objectives.

Please be warned that any  text over the word allowance will not be considered. Ensure to comply with the word count requirement in order not be disqualified.

Application for the Cardiff 2022 Great scholarship for international students is open till 23:59PM (UK time), 31st May 2022.

Criteria For Eligibility To Apply for Cardiff 2022 International Scholarship

The following types of Students are eligible to apply for the Cardiff 2022 Great scholarship for international Students.

Postgraduate Taught Applicants – Conditional Offer Holders

• You must pay your deposit by the deadline stated in your original/first offer. If you are granted a deposit extension you must pay by your new deadline. This applies until 31 July – scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who make their deposit payment after 31 July 2022.
• You must accept your offer and meet all the offer conditions, including any English Language conditions as stated in your offer by 16 September 2022.

Postgraduate Taught Applicants – Unconditional Offer Holders

• If you are holding an Unconditional Offer, you must confirm this offer as a Firm choice.
• You must pay your deposit by the deadline stated in your original/first offer. If you are granted a deposit extension you must pay by your new deadline. This applies until 31 July – scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who make their deposit payment after 31 July 2022.
• You must also accept your offer by 16 September 2022.

All Students

• The Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 is available to eligible students studying on selected Postgraduate Taught degree programs.
• The scholarships are for all Postgraduate Taught degree programs except for China – where the scholarship is for all Postgraduate Taught degree programs excluding those in Cardiff Business School, the School.

Terms And Conditions

1. The Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 is a £10,000 award applied to students entering into year 1 of a program. It is applied to your first year of study only.

2. The Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 is for entry into Cardiff University in the autumn semester of academic year 2022/23 only and thus, cannot be used any other year of entry.

3. Future requests for further funding will not be considered under this scheme.

4. Applicants who are in receipt of any other scholarship, bursary, funding or discount will not be eligible for this Scholarship.

5. The Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 is available for full-time and Cardiff campus-based programs only.

6. Applicant must be confirmed as an Overseas Student for fee paying purposes (this information is contained in your offer letter). However, If you are assessed as eligible to pay Home fees as the result of a fee query, your fee status will be amended to Home and you will not be eligible for the Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022.

7. The Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 is only available to self-funded students.

8. The Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 is not available for students who are coming to study at Cardiff University for a semester or full year as part of a degree at another institution.

9. The Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 is not available to students who are initially awarded the scholarship but, following enrolment at the University, subsequently transfer to an academic program which is not eligible for the award of the scholarship.

10. Applicants who are in receipt of any other scholarship, bursary, funding or discount from Cardiff University will only be able to choose one of the awarded scholarships, bursaries, funding or discounts.

11. You must be able to satisfy all financial requirements as part of your visa application for study in the UK. You should not be solely relying on receiving the Cardiff University – GREAT Scholarship 2022 to meet the UKVI financial requirements.
